  1. Jackson State University students are preparing for a holiday production: a story of Christmas told through the lens of a gospel musical. This celebration will take place over three days: opening night is Tuesday, Nov. 30, and will continue through to Thursday, Dec. 2. It will allow audience members to engage in a cultural celebration, as well as to brighten their spirits. (WJTV)
  2. On Saturday, the family of Kaylin Banyard hosted a toy drive in her honor. The 21-year-old was shot and killed in Jackson in June of this year. The drive gave back to children who lost a parent to gun violence. (WJTV)
  3. On Friday, a man died and a 13-year-old was injured in a shooting on Derrick Street in Jackson. (WJTV)
