First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Jackson:

  1. Jackson State University has received a $50,000 donation from Joe Tatum, a distinguished attorney and alumnus. The funds will be used to provide concrete life skills to students for success in the business community. Tatum reportedly donated the funds because he wants to see the university flourish. (WJTV)
  2. Jackson Public Schools is hosting a Juniors' College Fair on Friday. The event is an opportunity for 11th graders to learn more about college admissions, scholarships, and summer programs. The fair will be at Lanier High School on West Maple Street at 9:00 a.m. (WLBT)
  3. A recent video shows dirt bikes and four-wheelers racing through downtown Jackson while drivers do donut maneuvers. The footage was captured by a 16 WAPT News viewer living in downtown Jackson. Governor Reeves' response to the footage is for the Jackson City Council to hire more law enforcement officers. (WAPT Jackson)
