Here are the top three stories today in Jackson:

  1. A Jackson Councilman wants the city to pay those who help the police solve an October triple homicide. Kenneth Stokes suggests the city pay $2,500, which would come out of the general fund. He hopes this will get more people to speak up about crime, if approved. (WLBT)
  2. Hinds County supervisors bickered over who the board president is. David Archie and Credell Calhoun both claim to e the president, though the board voted to allow Calhoun to remain president until issues with Archie are resolved. The board adjorned until Tuesday. (WAPT Jackson)
  3. The Jackson airport's future is in the hands of the U.S. Fifth Circuit. The court heard arguments this month about whether members of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority have standing to file suit. Leaders are awaiting the court's ruling. (Northside Sun)
