- Mississippi Symphony Orchestra will return to the Brookhaven Little Theatre as part of The Haven Concert Series. The performance will begin on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $30 each. (Dailyleader)
- Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi will host its annual Bacchus Ball at the Country Club of Jackson on Feb. 5. It will feature music from Dr. Zarr's Amazing Funk Monster, as well as live and silent auction items. All money raised will fund patient assistance programs for uninsured Mississippians with diabetes and Camp Kandu, a biannual diabetes camp for children. (WJTV)
- UMMC reported that a majority of the children hospitalized with COVID-19 are unvaccinated. Dr. Mary Taylor explained that the number of children hospitalized because of COVID-19 in the past two weeks has tripled. Medical professionals urge parents to ensure their children are wearing masks, learning proper hand hygiene, and remaining socially distanced. (WJTV)
