- Jerry Welch, the family discipleship pastor at Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Ridgeland, shared the establishment and mission of Hearts of Compassion. The orphan care ministry was started about ten years ago, and its goal is to bring awareness to the 147 million orphans around the world. They want to help provide funding for Christian families who feel that God is calling them to adopt. (Northside Sun)
- Jackson leaders discussed changes to the water billing system. They are transitioning to a new system that will provide customers with more detailed reports of their bills and will be transparent about restrictions. Water meter installations are still happening across Jackson, and officials are asking for patience during the transition. (WJTV)
