Here are the top three stories in Jackson today:

  1. Some Jackson City Council members report that complaints about the city's trash pickup are beginning to decrease. The lowered complaint volume is being attributed to Richard's Disposal settling into its new trash collection role. Despite the decreased complaints, the Jackson City Council continues to battle with the mayor in the courtroom. See the details at the link. (WAPT Jackson)
  2. A broken water main sent a column of water high into the air on Friday. The incident occurred outside Jackson's ISH Grill & Bar. City crews are currently on-site working to repair the broken water main after struggling to turn off the valves. (WAPT Jackson)
  3. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has cancelled the Silver Alert on a 31-year-old Jackson man. The alert was issued for Glenn Perkins Jr. after he went missing earlier in the week. According to the department, Perkins has been safely located. (WLBT)
