🌱 Water Woes In S. Jackson + Black-Owned Business Summit

Here are the top three stories today in Jackson:
- It's been almost two weeks of water woes in South Jackson and residents are ready to return to better water pressure. The goal PSI level is to be as close to 90 as possible and yesterday afternoon the water levels were in the low 80s. Crews are continuing to work to restore pressure but are facing setbacks including a problem with turbidity. (WAPT Jackson)
- Jackson Hinds Library System is celebrating Black History Month by partnering with Grow With Google and the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. to offer the Black-Owned Business Summit Free Livestream Event. The event will be held Thursday, Feb. 24 at 12 p.m. CT. The summit will be catered to Black-owned businesses and lead digital workshops and discussions that will help grow your business. - The Jackson City Council has rejected a trash contract with Richard's Disposal on 3-3-1 vote. The council denied awarding a six-year, $50 million contract to the New Orleans-based firm. There have been many concerns in deciding whether to change trash contractors with the city. (WLBT)
