With working belt-driven equipment, demonstration days, November's Soulé Live Steam Show, and Maker Faire Meridian, the site doubles as both a preserved factory and a hands-on learning hub for local families and students.
   

• Meridian Selected as One of Ten National Hosts for U.S. Open Family Day (wtok.com) — Meridian has been named one of just ten U.S. cities to host U.S. Open Family Day, drawing families to the Northeast Tennis Center for free tennis, games, and community fun. Local volunteers, first responders, and even Miss Mississippi 2026 joined in, and organizers hope the nationally recognized event inspires more residents to use the park's free rackets and equipment available daily until 10 p.m.
