Briarwood residents argue Meridian has not provided promised police, fire, and utility services since a prior annexation, while Marion officials appear open to Meridian's plan but are also positioned as an alternative annexing city.
3. Salvation Army of Meridian seeks 30 monthly donors by Christmas (meridianstar.com) — The Salvation Army of Meridian is urgently seeking 30 new monthly donors in the next 30 days so it can help local families in crisis long before Christmas kettles appear.
