Three Teachers Awarded $2,000 Scholarships to WGU Missouri
Teachers represent Moberly, St. Charles, and Sheldon communities
MISSOURI- In honor of Teacher Appreciation week, three Missouri teachers were awarded $2,000 scholarships to WGU Missouri. Moberly resident Michael Power, St. Charles resident Karin Hyatt, and Sheldon resident Tina Sudkamp were all surprised with the scholarships at their schools in early May. All three are pursuing master’s degrees at WGU Missouri.
Michael Power, a Moberly Public Schools teacher, was officially presented with the scholarship at his school – Gratz Brown Elementary – on May 4. Power is pursuing a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education at WGU Missouri.
Karin Hyatt, a teacher in the Francis Howell School District, was officially presented with the scholarship at her school – Henderson Elementary – on May 8. Hyatt is pursuing a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction.

Tina Sudkamp, a teacher in the Nevada R-V School District, was also presented with the scholarship at her school – Nevada High – on May 8 by WGU Missouri Chancellor Dr. Angie Besendorfer. Sudkamp is pursuing a Master of Education in Learning and Technology at WGU Missouri.
