The event is the Affton Chamber’s second biggest fundraiser of the year, after . Chamber Executive Director Joan Edleson said that the tournament usually attracts 90 to 100 golfers and raises around $10,000, put toward yearly operating expenses and organizing other events.

The organizers are also looking for businesses willing to donate more prizes to be awarded for attendance and performance—particularly restaurant gift certificates. The chamber hopes to make sure that every golfer leaves with at lest $15 in prizes.

New at the tournament this year is the option to use a powerful air gun to shoot your golf ball toward the green on the first hole, for a nominal cost. The gun can shoot further than most golfer can drive.

Golfers can also buy a mulligan: one on the front nine, one on the back nine.
