Longtime Anheuser-Busch employee joins SouthSide Early Childhood Center
(St. Louis, MO) – (July 17, 2012) SouthSide Early Childhood Center is pleased to introduce Allan Meyers as its new financial controller. Meyers joined SouthSide in June 2012, and is responsible for overseeing the center’s financial, accounting and reporting activity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ohio State University as well as a MBA from Xavier University.
Prior to coming to SouthSide, Meyers worked at Anheuser-Busch, InBev for over 30 years in a variety of financial and accounting positions, and wished to begin a “second career” away from the corporate world in the nonprofit sector. He has also served on the Board of Directors with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children), in which he served as the Board Treasurer and on their development committee. Therefore, Meyers brings to SouthSide a combination of both financial and nonprofit experience.

Meyers first heard of the opportunity at SouthSide while working with another nonprofit organization in the St. Louis community, and states, “After visiting the facility, looking through the website and meeting the people here, I was excited about the opportunity to join the team. It will also be nice to be working close by my old friends at Anheuser-Busch. I have a great deal to learn but I am looking forward to the challenge.”
SouthSide Early Childhood Center is a nonprofit early education program dedicated to nurturing, educating and inspiring children and their families with limited resources, providing a strong foundation for success.
