Community Corner

Celebrating the Past and Prepping for the Future!

This year, the St. Louis Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is celebrating 80 years of service! Throughout the past 80 years, community members have looked to the Salvation Army ARC to help their loved ones or themselves rebuild a life free of chemical dependency.Aside from the Adult Rehabilitation Center, the St. Louis Salvation Army operates 7 local family stores that offer discounted clothing, home goods, vehicles and more. The items sold in the stores are all donated by community members and go towards funding the Adult Rehabilitation Center. As an anniversary present, the Missouri State Senate and other state and city government officials are teaming up to formally present multiple proclamations to the non-profit organization. These generous proclamations are only one exciting way to facilitate public involvement and support. The opening of an eighth thrift store is another! On November 2nd and 3rd, community members are invited to attend the grand opening of the new store on the corner of Forest Park Avenue and South Sarah Street. Customers who stop by Friday the 2nd will receive a "Bring a Friend" coupon good for 25% off of a purchase Saturday. Help spread the word!
