JB Blast

JB Blast, has been rescheduled for Friday, October 5, at Jefferson Barracks Park in south St. Louis County. The concert will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the fireworks will follow the concert.

In a statement issued today at 3 p.m. the event coordinators stated, “We are pleased to announce that the JB Blast, has been rescheduled for Friday, October 5th We are confident the weather will be more favorable in the Fall and that both the concert and fireworks will be as exciting and meaningful as always.”

The JB Blast was originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 3rd. However, in the interest of safety, the Lemay Fire District felt it could not provide a fireworks permit due to the extreme dry weather conditions. The event coordinators, considering that the concert and fireworks were both integral components, postponed the JB Blast at that time. Once the sponsors, band, fireworks, equipment and vendors were contacted and could agree to come together on October 5th for the celebration, plans to go forward were set in place.
