Salem Lutheran Celebrates "National Lutheran Schools Week"

  • Students at Salem Lutheran School in Affton celebrated their school and their faith during National Lutheran Schools Week (Jan. 28-Feb. 2, 2013). The theme of this year's week was “Baptized for This Moment,” based on Acts 2:38-39.

Highlights included class competitions, a reptile assembly, a pizza party and a spirited student-versus-staff volleyball game. Salem students also took part in an online mission trip to Thailand via Lutheran Hour Ministries. The school ended the week with an Open House.
  • Salem Lutheran is a member of the St. Louis-based Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA).

“This was a really fun week for our students because it gave them a chance to connect with their neighborhoods and communities,” said Deb Schmich, LESA’s Director of Student Services.

Salem Lutheran School is located at 5025 Lakewood Avenue, near Gravois Rd., in Affton. For information on enrollment and early childhood programs, visit www.lcas.org.
