Super Hero Volunteers Needed for Race to Cure Lymphoma

The 2012 RTCL is seeking volunteers for a variety of activities and services for the 7th annual event, which takes place October 6th at St. Louis Mills in Hazelwood, MO.  A full listing of    volunteer openings is available online on the volunteer page at www.racetocurelymphoma.org.

  • On Friday night from 3:00-9:00 p.m., volunteers are needed to assist with registration and packet pick up at the Women’s Fitness Expo at St. Louis Mills.  3-hour shifts are available.   Volunteers will be given a race staff t-shirt.
  • On race day morning, volunteers will hit the streets early to do it all – setting up the athlete’s village, water stations, start/finish line, serving as course cheer squads while staffing water stations, helping with registration, manning the balloon tent, and helping serve refreshments.  Volunteers will be given a race staff t-shirt and complimentary breakfast.

“Race To Cure Lymphoma is made possible each year by a large group of volunteers,” said Linda Chatham, volunteer coordinator for the event. “Volunteering with family and friends is a great way to get involved in the fun and excitement of the race and show support for this community event.”

Volunteers are offered training on the Wednesday prior to the race. This orientation gives  volunteers a chance to pick up their volunteer t-shirt, meet the captain of their volunteer area and ask any questions they may have about their volunteer assignment.
