Five Course Beer-Pairing Dinner to Help Local Food Pantry

Affton Christian Food Pantry hosts five-course, beer-pairing fundraising dinner at Sage in Soulard on November 8.

Imagine eating a gourmet meal and enjoying five different beers... while helping feed the hungry.  Sound too good to be true?  It's not!

The Affton Christian Food Pantry is hosting a fundraising Beer-Pairing dinner on Thursday, November 8 at Sage Urban American Grill in Soulard (1031 Lynch St).  The dinner includes five courses, each course paired with a different beer, to bring out the flavors in the food.  Cost for this meal, including gratuity, is only $50.  All proceeds will help the Affton Christian Food Pantry provide food for low-income families in the Affton area.

The evening includes the following courses:  Cha-Cha-Calamari in Asian Aioli sauce, served with Bud Light Lime; Baby Spinach with Grilled Salmon, warm goat cheese, spiced walnuts and mandarin oranges tossed in Shock-Top Vinaigrette, with Shock Top; Wisconsin Beer-Cheese Soup with smoked sausage, with Stella Artois; Bacon-wrapped Pork Tenderloin with honey-jicama slaw, with Budweiser; and Chocolate Truffle with Raspberry Sauce, with Michelob Amber Bock.
