Getting Ready for High School
I am looking forward to Empty Nesting but I am not even close to there yet, it's just High School!
Good Morning,
I haven't written in awhile since I am dealing with some health issues but I have noticed that no matter how I feel, my children always give me a reason to laugh. When they were young, they would say something they didn't understand and that alone would be funny, now that they are teenagers, they say something they shouldn't know what it means and its even funnier!

Destiny is staying with my married daughter Joan and informed me last night that she wouldn't be coming home until school starts. My middle child, Prianna, is lapping up all of my attention. Yesterday I took her to Panera Bread to have lunch and we shared some conversation and her plans for the next few years. Getting ready for high school is scary for her but her "can do" spirit is pushing her forward. She believes an entire new wardrobe is best for her success and it would be even better if I just handed her cash and didn't go with her shopping. I think these teenage years are worse than the empty nest because all they want is a listening ear and all the cash you have. I am looking forward to empty nest where all they do is call in their updates and I am left alone with my money. Not that I will know what to do with it. I haven't spent any on me in such a long time, I think I have forgotten.
I remember going to the movies that weren't animated or about super heros. I remember reading an entire book. I remember taking a nap without someone poking me and saying, "Are you asleep?" Getting ready for High School is now our number one activity. Wish me luck!
