Hello Everyone,
MaryAnn here. I am back with some thoughts on parenting teenagers, living with diabetes and other thought provoking subjects I want to share with you.

I took off a few months to work on some health issues and feel that it is time to warm up the keyboard again. My teens will both be in High School this August and the summer is here way before I am ready for it. I love it when my girls are home. No, really I do. They are creative and bright and full of ideas. Their youth keeps me thinking young and keeps me looking forward to what they are doing next. And, lest I forget, they are completely different from one another.
My Middle child, now 15 and a half, is reading up on the manual to get her drivers license permit. She loves fashion and music. She also doesn't care if her knee socks don't match.

My youngest, now 14, is worried about going to high school and being "fresh meat" for the older students. She is all about the drama. At her 8th grade dance, she found entertaining in the girls restroom, seeing who was crying and who was bragging about their date.
I look at parenting that comes with a light touch. My kids won't be here forever. They will leave for college. They will find their own lives and hopefully, they will remember right from wrong. Follow through this maze with me and share the joy, the frustration and your own perceptions!
