I have joined the wrong group!

My children are there to help me remember. That is good thing right?

This past Christmas, my girls got new Nintendo's DSi's. I have an old one that I play Sudoku on. I think I am pretty good at it. But one of my daughters has a spelling game I wanted to try, so I borrowed theirs to play,

Well, my skills with spelling had nothing to do with the first few minutes when I couldn't figure out how to get the game to start. I went to ask for help when my daughter said that," People in my age group are clueless about how to run electronic things".

My age group! Was she kidding? It was my age group that taught her to ride a bike, and learn to cook, and sew.  Here I was being told that my age group couldn't figure out how to use a simple spelling game.  This was bad enough until someone took a picture of me. When I saw it I thought, who is that old lady?  That is surely not me? What happened to the big hair and flawless skin? Where are the sparkling eyes and only one chin?

Oh well, age happens. Our children are more than willing to point out that we are not young. It's o.k. whats the alternative?  I am entering the time of my life when I can look back at lots of memories that make me happy and also look forward.

Age is just a number, right?  Besides spelling games are for the young, or younger. Sudoku is for me!
