January Events at the City Center!

Just because it's winter doesn't mean you need to stay inside! Check out some of the exciting classes and activites we have at the Shrewsbury City Center for residents and non-residents! 

Pre-School Open Gym                                                

Bring your toddlers by and spend some time playing in our gym. Wednesdays  and Thursdays 10am-12pm. This is free for rec pass holders and $2.00 for guest pass.

Creative Movement

Imagine fluttering like a butterfly, soaring like an airplane, or crawling like a bear, all while learning the basics of dance. This introduction to dance through creative movement, taught by Miss Traci, focuses on patterns, rhythms, coordination, flexibility, and classroom skills. Parents are welcome inside the classroom the last class of the session.

Date:  Session 2 Feb 28 – April 10

Times: Tuesdays 11:00-11:45

Ages     3-5

All About Me!

Pre school kids will spend the morning learning all about themselves. This two hour program will consist of projects all about “ME”. We will end the morning with a special snack and each child will get a book to take home!

Date: February 10th

Time: 9am – 11am

Ages: 3-5

Fee:    $5 per child (must pre register)

Kid’s Night Out

Planned activities such as indoor sports, arts, crafts, and all sorts of fun activities.  At 9:00p.m, we will watch a  G or PG rated movie.  The program will have limited space, so call and sign up early.

Dates: January 20, February 17, March 16, April 20

Time: 6:30-10p.m.

Ages: 6-10

Fees: $10 pre-registration

         $15 day of registration

 Home Improvement How To

Join Dave Naes with L.D Naes Contracting INC, and learn some basic home improvement. He will go over items such as minor plumbing issues, hanging items on the wall, lighting issues, and much much more. Sign up early! Space is limited.

Dates: Tuesdays January 10th–January 31st 

Times: 7:00-8:00pm 

Fees: $60/R $65/NR

From crafts and recipes to decorations and space saving ideas, Pinterest has it all. Pinterest.com is website that 

allows you to catalog all of the great ideas you see online and we want to share those ideas with you.  Come spend an evening with us and we will tackle 3 to 4 of the most popular projects pinned! Bring your friends, snacks and drinks, we will provide the supplies. If you see an idea on Pinterest .com bring in that night and share it with the group.

Bed Time for Babies

Erin Meckfessel, Owner of Pickles & Ice Cream Baby

Planning, certified baby planner and sleep consultant, will hold a class for expecting and new parents. Erin will

educate parents on different sleep routines for newborns thru the first year. Erin will help you learn about your child’s sleep cues and help you to establish a healthy sleep and nap schedule. She will also go over the safest and ec0-friendly sleep environment for your baby.

Auditions for Annie!
