MEAN MOMMA CHRONICLES

Being alone with my 14 year old can be fun, maybe for me, not always for her!

All my daughters are brilliant! But the oldest who is now married and has two children of her own is the most brilliant this week. She takes one of my kids for a week at her house and leaves me with the other one. She does this every summer and I just love it. That way I can spend some one to one time with my girls instead of them always having to share my attention with their sister.

This one to one time is priceless. This week I got to spend time with my 14 year old. I nearly ended her life when I asked her to water the lawn. She told me that people might see her and she didn't want anyone to know she was capable of doing anything so uncool. The result of this was that her life would surely end. I also asked her to go to Quik Trip and pick up milk. "MILK", she said, "What if someone sees me?"  Life is so cruel when you are 14. Now, let me clear up her reasoning. Being seen with a six pack of soda, or perhaps the largest Slurpee in the world would be fine, just not milk.

Now in between these horrific things I make her do, she does spend time with me laughing and talking, telling me about boys and making lists of things I can buy her. So this week has been fun and I am ready for the next week with my 13 year old. I will try not to torture her too much! Keep in touch to find out!!
