RMS Updates
Beginning of school for RMS promotes teamwork, creativity, and motivation with the float.
My apologies for not blogging recently. The beginning of school is a very busy time for us and this year was no exception. I know I'm a little bit late in "bragging" but I am very proud. Not only did Rogers Middle School students build a float for the Affton Days Parade but we won for our entry! Special thanks to Mr. Pointer for supplying the trailer and to Mr. Hubbard and Ms. Tripoli for helping with the design and building the float. I have to tell you that Ms. Tripoli and I walked through the building a couple of nights before the parade thinking of things we could add to it and Mr. Hubbard kept saying, “next year, next year”. But he built the SuperBowl trophy anyway and it was a big hit!!! Thank you to students and staff who stayed after school to help build the tribute to Fuel Up to Play and the Rams. Our theme was "Vacation at the SuperBowl with the Rams” so of course with our New Orleans theme, we had to pass out colored beads. We had a fantastic turnout of students and staff and a beautiful day for a parade. Our “National Touchdown Dance Winners” Reja and Maria cheered us through the two miles. Thanks again to everyone for wonderful experience!!!
