Saint Louis Crisis Nursery’s Parent Advisory Board recently hosted a Dynamic Dad’s Day Celebration for fathers who are committed to strengthening their families and the community. The event was held at Vision for Children at Risk, and included special presentations by Jason Wilson, owner of Northwest Coffee Co. & Chronicle Coffee; civil & human rights advocate Otis Woodard of the Otis Woodard Lutheran Outreach Program; and Bill Siedhoff of the Office of the Mayor. Each presenter gave words of wisdom, encouraging the fathers to be positive role models in and contributors to the community.
The fathers enjoyed games and food, and many expressed that the Crisis Nursery event was the only acknowledgement they would receive for Father’s Day.
