Dinner Sizzles at Jilly's Café & Steakhouse

Vintage roadhouse-style with high-end dining makes Jilly's a unique restaurant experience where the steaks sizzle and the beer is always cold.

When Joseph and Dana Gisi opened Jilly’s Café & Steakhouse they created a unique operation that combined two restaurant styles under one roof--high-end family dining and a casual roadhouse bar.

“You can order anything on the menu in either the main dining room or the bar,” said Dana Gisi, who noted the bar features its own specials, such as $5 pizzas on Sundays.

The bar has a collection of tables and barstools along with a pool table. The main dining area offers wood-paneled booths and neatly set tables that are nicely suited for family dining or a cozy dinner for two.

Servers arrive promptly with menus that spotlight sirloins, rib eyes and filets prepared to order and topped on request with a variety of frills from creamy crab sauce to cabernet butter. The house steak specialty: blackened beef tenderloin medallions, crowned with crisp, deep-fried onion strings, bleu cheese and finished with a beurre blanc sauce ($19.99).

Steaks, seafood, chops, pasta and chicken entrées are served with a choice of two sides. For more casual fare, order up pizza, burgers sandwiches or appetizers, which include wings and nachos to the unexpected crab-stuffed mushrooms.

Best bet for Sunday dinner—Jilly’s Sunday special—is a half fried chicken dinner served after 1 p.m. with all the trimmings for $9.99.

Bar selections include top-shelf liquors, draft and bottled beers and an impressive wine list, offered by the glass or bottle.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, Jilly’s Café & Steakhouse is located at 1630 Gravois at Little Brennan Road in High Ridge.
