Drawing Kindness: Mesnier 2nd Grader Wins Art Contest

Liliana Perez's entry has been made into a greeting card supporting CHARACTERplus.

Acting with character isn't easy, but drawing character might be even harder.

Still, second grader Liliana Perez pulled it off with her entry into an art contest organized by Friends of CHARACTERplus, an organization that works to improve public awareness of character education.

The contest—a part of the group's annual fundraiser—asked students from kindergarten through 12th grade to draw a picture that represents one of the character words posted on the wall in their classroom. Liliana chose to draw "Kindess."
