St. Louis music fans are joining Budweiser, Anheuser-Busch Brewery employees and Living Lands and Waters to clean up the Mississippi River. The river cleanup and recycling project is part of the national Budweiser America Made Better platform, which supports water conservation and inspires consumer volunteerism by rewarding volunteers age 21 and over with tickets to their local Budweiser Made in America party (the Budweiser Made In St. Louis party takes place on Tuesday, June 25, and will feature Robert DeLong). Volunteers will sort more than 50,000 pounds of trash collected earlier this spring from the banks of the Mississippi River. To sign up as a volunteer, visit www.budweiserrsvp.com. Space is limited.
In addition to St. Louis, America Made Better cleanup events are taking place in the following cities: Cartersville, Ga.; Houston; Los Angeles; Denver; San Francisco; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; New York; and Philadelphia. This year, Budweiser is donating $150,000 to River Network to facilitate the majority of America Made Better cleanups across the country and to support the organization’s annual operations.
