Osteosarcoma is a malignant type of bone cancer that forms most commonly in teenage boys. Jake Franzel, who is a junior at Lindbergh and the son of Mike Franzel, music teacher at Kennerly Elementary, was diagnosed with the disease in 2009 and has been battling it ever since. For more information, see the Jake's Crew team page from the St. Baldrick's event at the beginning of March.
