Junior Ranger Day

Join Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site to celebrate Junior Ranger Day and Ulysses S. Grant’s birthday on April 27!  Activities aimed at kids ages 5-14 will be based around the theme “Did You Know?” and will reveal fun facts about Grant and about national parks. Special “Did You Know?” activities will introduce kids and their families to interesting facts about Ulysses S. Grant, his victory at Vicksburg in July 1863, one-room schoolhouses, and the fifty-dollar bill.

Activities will start every 20 minutes beginning at 10 a.m., with the last group starting at 2 p.m. This event is free, and reservations are requested only for groups of ten or more. Visitors of all ages are welcome to join in the fun, but all kids must be accompanied by an adult. Children who complete the day’s activities will receive special Junior Ranger Day patches and certificates in addition to a Ulysses S. Grant Junior Ranger badge.
