Meditation for Children

We set the tone by sitting in a circle and begin by tinging the tingshas and chanting the vowel sounds while we concentrate on the breath.  Moving into a short round of yoga, we relax our bodies in preparation for meditation.  Then we settle onto the floor, scan the body for tense muscles, and gently release our conscious minds into a guided visualization.  We bring it all together with art.  For children ages 4 to 9.  Older and younger siblings welcome.
