Filing for Municipal Elections Now Open
Shrewsbury, Green Park and Grantwood Village all have spots open.

Residents looking to run for their local city boards in the upcoming April 3 election have until Jan. 17 to file their candidacies.
Filing opened on Tuesday in . Three aldermen are up for re-election: Sam Scherer in Ward 1, Ed Kopff in Ward 2 and Chris Gorman in Ward 3.
Filing also opened in , where there are three seats on the board of aldermen up for grabs. The terms of Carol Hamilton of Ward 1, Jackie Wilson of Ward 2 and Fred Baras of Ward 3 are ending. All three incumbents have already filed for reelection.

In , filing opens a week later on Tuesday . Open filing will be held that day from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. After that those wishing to file must make an appointment with the village clerk. The seats on the board of trustees currently occupied by Cathy Forand and Pat Williams are up for re-election.
