Happy Hour Hunt: Eat, Drink and Be Merry

This week's "Happy Hour Hunt" focuses on five bar and grills in St. Louis County.

in Maplewood offers $1.50 domestic drafts and $2.50 domestic bottles and well drinks from 4 p.m.–6 p.m., Monday through Friday. They're a perfect match for the world famous Hugo Burger.

In Affton, offers daily drink specials with $1 drafts on Monday from 11 a.m.–close, $2 draft Tuesdays from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. and Wednesday  $2.50 rail specials 11 a.m.–close.

With the happy hour motto “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere,” in Crestwood is the king of daily specials. Mondays mean $6 domestic pitchers and $2 Coors Light and Miller Light bottles. Tuesdays offer $6 domestic buckets. Wednesdays offer 22-ounce domestic drafts and Corona bottles for $3 and margarita pitchers for $12. Thursdays are specialty beer night with $3 selected bottles and $4 selected jumbo drafts. Saturdays are $2 days for Miller and Coors light bottles, and Sundays finish off the weekend with $10.50 buckets and $2 Miller and Coors light bottles.

in Maplewood has a unique drink special. It serves $1 “train shots” for every time a train goes by, and shots are bartender’s choice. It also offers $5 Anheuser-Busch pitchers every day and $13.50 buckets of six domestic brews.

In Kirkwood, keeps it fresh with 7 p.m.–11 p.m. rotating drink specials. Sundays and Tuesdays offer $4 American Honey shots, $3 PBR pitchers and $1 Natty Lights. Mondays and Thursdays offer. $10 buckets and $4 bombs. Wednesdays are Ladies Night, which means unlimited or bottomless drinks for $10.
