Legoland in San Diego

Grandson Louis had his 6th birthday at Legoland and Nana went along for the ride.  This is the first time he has had a birthday away from home, most being on the beach near his home on Vashon Island.

Legoland is different from Disneyworld, in that I have booked clients with no children both to the park and on one of the Disney cruises.  There are plenty of things to experience that are not diminished by no children tagging along.

Legoland, however, is geared for children and the rides are very gentle and do not speak to the more adventurous among us.

We purchased a multi-day pass which was available online and saved some serious money.  Of course, the gift shops took up the slack in that area.

The food is surprisingly good and there are a variety of different restaurant venues throughout the park.

We stayed at the Sheraton, which is located at the back of the park and there is a shuttle service which will take you back and forth.  There is a hotel right at the front entrance, but we found the pace at the Sheraton a little less frenetic and calming after a day looking at little colored blocks.

If you have been to one of the other Legoland parks, let me know what your experience was.
