Police Blotter: Illegal Pizza and Drug Stabbing

Here is our weekly summary of incidents handled by the Shrewsbury Police Department and the Affton precinct of the St. Louis County Police.

Monday, May 2

In the 10200 block of Eddingham Terrace in Sappington, credit and debit cards and an iPod were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

In the 5800 block of Ceder View Place in South County, a residence was entered while the homeowner was out of town. An Xbox 360, a Playstation 3 and numerous video games were stolen.

In the 5400 block of Tesson Parc Court in South County, medication and jewelry were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Tuesday, May 3

Jewelry, a TV and silverware were stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Deerwood Drive in Affton, which was left vacant after the homeowner’s death.

A purse with credit cards, wallet, prescription medication and jewelry was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Vicksburg Circle in Affton. The purse and credit cards were later found by a neighbor.

In the 7600 block of Genesta Street in Affton, jewelry and tools were allegedly stolen and pawned last month by the victim’s stepson. The investigation is ongoing.

In the 11000 block of Valdamere Drive in Sappington, a suspect was arrested on charges of stabbing someone for refusing to buy marijuana.

A firearm was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 7000 block of Heege Road in Affton.

Wednesday, May 4

Four tires were punctured on a pickup truck parked overnight at an apartment complex in the 7600 block of Watson Road in Shrewsbury. This was the second time this vehicle’s tires were punctured in the past two weeks.

At the at 11113 Lindbergh Business Court in Green Park, windows were smashed on two vehicles. A purse, wallet, credit cards and cash were reported stolen.

A yellow 2003 Vermeer flatbed trailer loaded with a tree stump grinder was reported stolen from the Butler Hill Center at 4333 Butler Hill Road in Concord.

Thursday, May 5

Shrewsbury police investigated a case of stolen personal checks. A woman residing in the 7700 block of Bellstone Road told police that when she informed her bank of the stolen checks, she discovered that one of the stolen checks was used to pay for pizza at her apartment during a party she hosted in November. The suspect, a party guest, was the boyfriend of a friend of the victim. The suspect used the stolen checks at least eight other times for a total of more than $200 in fraudulent activity on the victim’s account.

Lawn equipment was reported stolen from a shed at a residence in the 10700 block of Meath Drive in Concord. An air compressor was recovered from a neighbor’s yard.

In the 10000 block of Kennerly Road in Concord, a company that purchases gold reported $1,500 in jewelry stolen.

At St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Concord, a cellphone was left in a women’s restroom. When the owner went to retrieve it, she discovered it stolen.
