Police Blotter: Stolen Refrigerator, HIV Exposure
The weekly crime summary for Affton and Shrewsbury, Feb. 17-24.

Thursday, Feb. 17
Shrewsbury Police investigated fraudulent debit card charges used to purchase $5,826.95 worth of merchandise at retail stores in Canada on Feb. 15 and 17. The card belongs to a Shrewsbury resident in the 7500 block of Devonshire Avenue.
Firearms were reported stolen in the 5100 block of Waldo Avenue in Affton.

Friday, Feb. 18
At 1:20 a.m., Shrewsbury Police arrested a Rockford, Illinois man on Interstate 44 westbound at Shrewsbury Ave. after a traffic stop. Police reportedly discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The suspect was issued citations to appear in municipal court.

Saturday, Feb. 19
Shrewsbury Police arrested a South St. Louis City woman on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia on eastbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Ave. The woman was the passenger of a vehicle that was traveling 75 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. Police discovered that the woman was a fugitive of another police department for missing a court date. The driver was issued a citation for speeding.
A refrigerator was reported stolen in the 7700 block of Olde English Road in Affton.
Sunday, Feb. 20
Electronics and clothes were reported stolen in a burglary in the 6700 block of Colony Acres Drive in Affton.
Monday, Feb. 21
Between Friday, Feb. 18 after 3:30 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 21 at 8:30 a.m., 20 masonry screw jacks valued at a total of $1000 were reported stolen from a construction site at Mackenzie Pointe at 7300 Watson Rd. in Shrewsbury.
Electronics were reported stolen in the 6400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard in Green Park.
Tuesday, Feb. 22
Shrewsbury Police were called to a domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and a girlfriend in the 7100 block of Murdoch Ave. The man punched his girlfriend after an argument. After the boyfriend was arrested, police discovered that he was HIV positive, and he never told his live-in girlfriend about his condition. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged the man with third degree domestic assault and eight counts of exposing another person to HIV. Bond was set at $75,000 cash.
Thursday, Feb. 24
A suspect was arrested in the 5000 block of Kempf Drive in Concord for an incident of domestic assault involving choking.
