Shrewsbury Police Blotter: $4K Coin Collection Stolen

Friday, June 15
A woman from Columbia, IL was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10 p.m. after she drove her Chevy Equinox across a residential lawn and side and swiped a Toyota Sienna being driven west bound in the 7300 block of Weil Ave. The suspect refused to provide a breath sample and she was issued a citation to appear in municipal court after she was released from jail.

Police were called to the 5300 block of Kenrick Parke Drive to investigate the theft of over $3,900 worth of collector coins stolen from a bedroom closet. There was no forced entry into the condominium. The theft took place sometime over the past 14 months. Police are questioning cleaning personnel.
