Shrewsbury Police Blotter: 5 a.m. Fight

Saturday, November 5
Shrewsbury Police arrested a Wellston man for a November 2 theft of $80 from a purse inside an apartment in the 7100 block of Weil. The victim told police she allowed a man to use her phone inside her apartment. She used the bathroom while the man was left alone in her apartment. After he left the apartment, she noticed the money was missing. The suspect had been visiting a relative in the apartment complex and confessed to stealing the cash. He also had outstanding warrants from two other police departments, and police found a baggy of marijuana in his possession when he was arrested. He was issued citations to appear in municipal court.
Police arrested two residents for domestic assault in the 5400 block of Kenrick Parke Drive at 5 a.m. after a verbal argument became physical. The case was referred to the municipal prosecutor for review.
