Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Brandishing a BB, Stealing a Steak

Friday, October 7
At 7:50 a.m. Shrewsbury police investigated the flourishing of a weapon at N. Laclede Station Rd. and Murdoch Ave. A teenager brandished a pistol at another motorist after an argument over lane use while driving. No one was injured. Police have traced the license plate of the vehicle and arrested a Brentwood teenager for third degree assault and peace disturbance. Police recovered the weapon; it was a B.B. pistol.

Police were called to the 7400 block of Woodlawn Colonial on at 3 AM by a taxi cab driver. Two men called for a cab ride home from a bar on Washington Avenue, in downtown St. Louis, to Woodlawn Colonial, and one of the men refused to pay the cab fare. The intoxicated man was arrested and charged with stealing under $500, and he was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.

A silver and black mountain bike was reported stolen from the parking lot of McDonald’s at 7239 Watson Rd. The theft took place sometime between the hours of 4 and 7 p.m.
Wednesday, October 12
Prior to 7 a.m. on October, eleven unlocked vehicles were entered between 7500 and 7800 Weil Ave., as well as a couple of the streets near Weil Ave. The suspects took loose change, costume jewelry and a couple of wallets. Police recommend not leaving valuables inside vehicles and locking your vehicle doors.
Thursday, October 13
A report of identity theft was filed at the Shrewsbury Municipal Court. A woman from Union, Missouri informed police that her sister used her identification while she was in the Caribbean Islands and on a traffic stop on July 24 at I-44 and Shrewsbury Avenue. Police are seeking the woman’s sister for questioning.
Police arrested a shoplifter from South St. Louis City at Dierbergs, , for stealing a steak. He was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.
