Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Dogs on the Loose

Friday, July 8
Shrewsbury police arrested a North St. Louis City woman for stealing more than $49 worth of gas from Waterway Gas & Wash, 7201 Watson Rd.

Between 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, thieves entered three unlocked vehicles and took checks from a checkbook, loose change, boxing gloves, clothes and a car stereo from the same apartment complex parking lot in the 7800 block of Charing Square Lane.
Update: A suspect was arrested for the theft of five pairs of eyeglass frames reported stolen from Crown Vision Center on June 28. The suspect left the store prior to police being called to the scene. Video surveillance inside the store was being reviewed and police identified a suspect that had taken eyeglass frames from the same store in February.

Tuesday, July 12
Shrewsbury police arrested a man from Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO, for stealing and forging checks from an apartment at in the 7700 block of Bellstone Road.
Wednesday, July 13
At 1 a.m. police arrested a South St. Louis City man on eastbound Interstate 44 for possession of marijuana and other controlled substances (pills), after a traffic stop.
Thursday, July 14
Police were called to the 4100 block of Exeter Ave. to investigate two dogs running at large, who tried attack a leashed dog. The owner of the two dogs was identified and issued citations for the dogs running loose, no dog license and no proof of vaccinations.
