Shrewsbury Police Blotter: License Plate Tab Thief Afoot?
The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, June 8
At 3:46 p.m. a resident of the 4700 block of Wilshusen Avenue reported her license plate tabs had been stolen.
At 4:42 p.m. employees of the Waterway Gas & Wash reported that a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer drove off without paying for $30.13 worth of gasoline.

Monday, June 13
At 1:09 p.m. a Shrewsbury resident reported that while he was walking on Watson Road near Trianon Parkway Drive, someone threw an object at him from a moving vehicle, causing a cut on his chin. The resident described the vehicle as a white passenger car, but was unable to provide a description of the occupants inside.

Tuesday, June 14
At 10:20 a.m. police stopped a vehicle on Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue. The license plates on the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
At 8:32 a resident of the 5400 block of Vicar Court reported her license plate tabs were stolen.
Wednesday, June 15
The Shrewsbury Detective Bureau was able to identify two individuals who were with a car that had been broken into on May 25 at Kenrick Plaza. The suspects had used a credit card that had been stolen from the vehicle at an area department store. The two suspects were arrested and charged with property damage and stealing. Warrants will be sought through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
At 2:21 p.m. a resident of the 7100 block of Weil Avenue reported her debit card stolen. She suspected that her cousin had stolen the debit card and used it in St. Louis city. Police are continuing to investigate the matter.
At 12:26 a.m. police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 7800 block of Charing Square. The investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of a marijuana pipe. She was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 11:31 a.m. a resident of the 800 block of Ravensridge Drive reported that someone had broken into her vehicle and stolen her GPS. The driver’s side window had been shattered.
