St. Michael’s Soccer Tourney Wraps with Championship Games

After a full week of round robin games, the 21^st annual St. Michael’s Soccer Tournament in Wehner Park ended on Sunday with final nonchampionship games for first though fourth-grade teams, and seven different championship games for fifth through eighth-grade teams.

Final scores for the championship games:

Fifth-grade boys: Ascension bested Holy Redeemer, 2-1
Fifth-grade girls: Holy Redeemer bested St. Gabe’s, 3-1
Sixth-grade boys: St. Peter’s bested St. Michael’s 1-0
Seventh-grade boys: Immacolata bested St. Joseph’s 1-1, with a 4-3 penalty kickoff
Seventh-grade girls: St. Michael’s bested Seven Holy Founders, 3-1
Eighth-grade boys: Holy Redeemer bested Seven Holy Founders, 1-0
Eighth grade girls: St. Elizabeth St. Robert bested St. Mary Margaret Alacoque, 2-1
