Young Musicians to Jam with Quartet San Francisco
Grammy award-winning quartet schedules Feb. 3 concert at Lindbergh Auditorium.
Student musicians will have an opportunity to rub elbows with their professional counterparts as the Lindbergh Schools String Orchestras host an appearance by Quartet San Francisco, a five-time Grammy Award nominated group.
Quartet San Francisco specializes in nontraditional or crossover music, ranging from jazz to tango, pop to funk, blues to bluegrass, gypsy swing to big band and beyond. Their original performances include “Under the Sea” from “The Little Mermaid,” and music from “The Pink Panther.”
The quartet is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Feb. 3 in the Lindbergh Auditorium, 5000 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The group will be joined by the the Concord String Quartet, which includes Sperreng Middle School eighth grade orchestra members and the Sperreng Eighth Grade Orchestra, directed by L. Michelle Howard. The student groups will have the opportunity to practice privately with the quartet as it prepares for its concert.
