Partnership Aimed at Helping People Beat the Summer Heat

Jefferson County Community Partnership's mission is to seek out collaborations that bring agencies together to help build a better future for the citizens of Jefferson County. It also helps to build partnerships that make a difference in the present as well. Ameren Missouri and the Jefferson County Health Department have partnered with the JCCP's "Hammers of Hope" program to help people beat the heat this summer.
Ameren donated 50 window air condtioners to the Heath Department who in turn will utilize Hammers of Hope volunteers to deliver and set up the units for low income persons and families in need. Hammers of Hope has 12 additional units that have been set aside for seniors 65 and older. Volunteers from Windsor Baptist Church will start delivering the units on Monday, June 25th. There are still units available as well as opportunity to volunteer to be part of the delivery teams.
Interested persons should contact Dennis Murphy, Project Coordinator of Hammers of Hope at 636-464-5144 x15 or Chrissy Oberle of the Jeffeson County Health Department at 636-797-3737 x112.
