Most people appreciate the 3 days off....I just came from Clearwater Lake ...what a madhouse....but interestingly enough.....I did not see one flag to honor the fallen for which memorial day honors.......although kudo's to Hillsboro...they have a mobile sign that reminds you to remember the fallen....other than that...all the way to Piedmont down 67...nothing...through Farmington...Fredericktown....not a thing...very very sad statement.
I will say the President and his opponent however took advantage of the day to show how "thankful" they are for the fallen.....but lets be honest.....if it wasn't an election year....probably wouldnt even have been covered....
Are you as tired of it all as I am......does it really make a difference who we will elect...and when I say we....that is considerably less than half of the eligible voters...and watch how many of those dysfunctional congressman and senators are returned to office.....I will give the Tea Party credit....they have brought "new blood" to the table.....indeed...if you read history about our founding fathers...that was the intent.....a constant turnover for public service.....not an occupation like it has become.....think about this....neither Obama or Biden have held a "real" job....they have always been part of the system.....how can they have any perspective of what you go through to make ends meet.....
