Senator Cunningham to Answer "Facebook Law" Questions

Senator Jane Cunningham will be interviewed on the International Coalition for Autism and All Abilities' radio program, ICAA Radio on Tuesday September 6th at 7 PM Central.

Many have been buzzing about the so called Facebook Law that was set to take effect late this month.

Legally entitled the Amy Hestir Student Protection Act, the law was sponsored by Senator Jane Cunningham.

Many parents I work with are extra vigilant about their children's safety in schools. Parents of children with special needs often have to be.

So, as I began getting questions about what this law and its effects on students, parents, and schools, I thought the best thing to do would be to start with reading the law itself.

And trying to get a meeting with the Sponsor.

Thankfully, Senator Cunningham agreed to take some time to come on the ICAA Radio program and answer some of my questions and your questions.

The law is pretty clearly written.

A lot of professionals in the education arena who I have spoken to support it.

Other good people I know are passionate about their concerns.

Hopefully the Senator will be able to answer your questions so we can clear up any confusion.

If you miss the segment live, all of them are archived over at the ICAA Radio site for your convenience and you can download them as well.
