Friday
Free Family Night at The Magic House. Emerson Free Family Nights at the Magic House are held every third Friday of the month from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Storytelling at the Missouri History Museum Free Storytelling programs for children 2-5 years, Fridays at 10:30am in the museum’s galleries. Children also enjoy a hands-on craft or other activity.

Great Green Adventures: Exploring the Chinese Garden at Missouri Botanical Garden. Great Green Adventures are drop-in activities that explore a special part of the Garden each month. Learn about plants, nature and green living through hand-on activities, journaling, stories and games. For children ages 6 to 12 with an adult.
Spirits from the Past at The Historic Daniel Boone Home & Heritage Center. Life in the early 1800s was filled with superstition and uncertainty. As night descends, walk the lantern-lit paths and explore a pioneer village where doubt lurks in the shadows. Families welcome. Reservations encouraged.

Open House at World Bird Sanctuary Learn all about the work done at theWorld Bird Sanctuary! Behind the scenes tours, live animal presentations, free children’s programs and activity center!

Sunday
Oktoberfest Riverboat Cruise at The Gateway Arch. Celebrate Oktoberfest on the Mississippi! Savor an authentic German buffet featuring beef rouladen, bratwurst/knockwurst, sweet and sour cabbage, noodle kugle, and German chocolate cake; and listen to music (or dance!) along to a live German band.
Only a couple weeks left to enjoy the Wabash Frisco and Pacific Railroad ! Come aboard our 12 inch gauge live Steam Railroad. The Railroad is open every Sunday, May through October rain or shine.
Creation Station at The Museum of Transportation. The Creation Station is a hands-on learning environment dedicated to introducing children (ages 5 and under) to all modes of transportation while focusing on developing and enriching the primary early learning skills.
Fall/Halloween Events
Nightly: Boo at the Zoo Nights at Saint Louis Zoo. Come explore the Zoo after dark during the special Halloween evenings: Boo at the Zoo Nights! This non-scary, kid-friendly Halloween experience is filled with laughs and adventure. Nightly, Oct. 17-30, 2014.
Friday-Saturday: Evening Hayride and Music Under the Stars at Lone Elk and/or Fall Family Hayrides with Bluegrass Music at Jefferson Barracks from St. Louis County Parks and Recreation.
Friday-Sunday: Not-So-Haunted House at The Magic House. Kids of all ages are invited to dress in their most “boo-tiful” Halloween costumes and have a ghoulishly good time trick-or-treating and getting autographs from their favorite storybook characters.
Friday- Sunday: Haunted Hayloft at Purina Farms. Enjoy not-so-scary entertainment for kids, including trick-or-treating, magic shows, face painting, puppet shows, storytelling, canine performances & more! Plus meet adoptable dogs on Saturdays/Sundays. FREE Admission. Oct 17-19 & 24-26
Saturday: Trick or Track at The Museum of Transportation. Head to the Museum of Transportation for a Howling Good Time! Boos & Ghouls, 10 and under, wear your Halloween costume and TRACK around the Museum looking for treats! Regular museum admission applies; mini train rides FREE for kids in costume.
Saturday: Family Pumpkin Carving by St. Charles Parks & Recreation. Get ready for a festive afternoon with your family at Webster Park! Enjoy hotdogs and s’mores around the fire pit after your family carves a pumpkin together.
Saturday-Sunday: Jumpin’ Pumpkin Jamboree (Belleville, Millstadt & Grafton) at Eckert’s Country Store and Farms. Ride the wagons out to the pumpkin patch to search for your great pumpkin. Wagon rides, country music, live entertainment, pony rides, funnel cakes and festival foods make this a fun-filled weekend for everyone! Children’s activities. Petting farm.
Sunday: Harvest Festival at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Celebrate the best Autumn has to offer: delicious eats from STL area restaurants, farmer’s market featuring local produce, arts & craft wares, family activities, live Bluegrass music and all of Falls splendor in Laumeiers beautiful outdoor setting.
