Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that a public open house meeting to view the proposed bridge replacement of Mount Olive Road Bridge over McMullen Branch. The meeting will be held at Athena Elementary School located at 3775 Athena School Road, DeSoto, MO 63020 on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the multipurpose room next to the library. Access is available for individuals requiring personal assistance. The presently slated improvements are as follows:

Jefferson County, Missouri, is proposing a bridge replacement on Mount Olive Road over McMullen Branch. The existing structure is considered structurally deficient with a posted weight limit of 30 Tons. The proposed structure will be approximately 46-feet longer than the existing bridge. The roadway width will be 24-feet with 4-foot shoulders on each side. A concrete bridge barrier will be installed on the structure with guardrail installed along the approaching roadway. Roadway work will be necessary to tie-in grades and the existing roadway. The total length of the project is 660 feet. Tentative schedules for right of way acquisition and construction can be discussed at the hearing.
