Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that a public open house meeting to view the proposed bridge replacement of Mount Olive Road Bridge over McMullen Branch. Β The meeting will be held at Athena Elementary School located at 3775 Athena School Road, DeSoto, MO 63020 on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the multipurpose room next to the library. Β Access is available for individuals requiring personal assistance. Β The presently slated improvements are as follows:

Jefferson County, Missouri, is proposing a bridge replacement on Mount Olive Road over McMullen Branch. Β The existing structure is considered structurally deficient with a posted weight limit of 30 Tons. Β The proposed structure will be approximately 46-feet longer than the existing bridge. Β  Β The roadway width will be 24-feet with 4-foot shoulders on each side. Β A concrete bridge barrier will be installed on the structure with guardrail installed along the approaching roadway. Β Roadway work will be necessary to tie-in grades and the existing roadway. Β The total length of the project is 660 feet. Tentative schedules for right of way acquisition and construction can be discussed at the hearing.
