Pomme Creek Golf Course is Hosting Fun, New Events for Families, Golfers and Non-Golfers This Season

May 5, 2015, Arnold, Missouri…Pomme Creek, the 18-hole public golf course in Arnold, Missouri, is hosting new events for kids, families and golfers of all ages, including a Family Open House with free food, prizes, kids’ games, music, golf skills contests, and a two-hole Soccer Golf “short course,” among other entertainments.

“We are teeing up more fun at Pomme Creek with activities to complement the golf experiences we that we offer,” says Susie Boone, parks and recreation director for the City of Arnold.

“These community events are for golfers and non-golfers, including a Soccer Golf Tournament on Sunday, May 17 and a Family Open House on Friday June 19. These are in addition to scheduled activities including our popular, two-person “Saturday Scrambles” every month for men, women, boys and girls, plus our annual Pomme Creek Golf Tournament, which this year will occur on Saturday, June 13.”

Pomme Creek is a beautiful, 5,580-yard, par 70 course situated on rolling hills with small lakes and creeks at One Golfview Drive in Arnold, a community located about 25 miles southwest of St. Louis. Pomme Creek amenities include:

“Soccer golf is the latest craze for kids aged six and up, including teenagers and adults,” says Tim Schwierjohn, Pomme Creek golf superintendent. “We expect this summer’s Soccer Golf Tournament to be very popular.”

Pomme Creek’s Soccer Golf Tournament on Sunday May 17th will begin with a 4 p.m. Shotgun Start. The event will feature a Men’s and Women’s Division (ages 18+); Boys & Girls Division (11-17); and a Combined Boys and Girls Division (10 and under). Fees are $15 per person, which includes dinner and an awards presentation.

This season’s “Saturday Scrambles” – all with a shotgun start -- are scheduled for June 13, July 11, August 15, September 12 and October 17.
