St. John's Lutheran Church - Annual Neighborhood Block Party
Friday, May 8th, beginning at 6 p.m. on church grounds; Fireworks at 9 p.m. Free and open to the community.
Food, children’s games, live musical entertainment, inflatables, face painting, pony rides, petting zoo, vintage car display, and fireworks! HOW FUN!! A family-friendly block party, hosted by St. John’s Lutheran Church and School is planned on the church grounds for May 8th, beginning at 6 p.m., and YOU are invited.
When asked why this free, no-charge-for-anything event is being offered, Associate Pastor Andy Becker explains, “This will be the 6th Block Party that we have hosted.” “We offer this as a gift to the local community, which provides a servant event in which the great people of St. John’s can be involved.” “It also allows us to get to know our neighbors in the Arnold community better and to show that we care.”
St. John’s Lutheran Church is located at 3517 Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold. Based on last year’s attendance, the organizers are expecting a large crowd. As there will be limited parking available on-site, a shuttle has been arranged to transport guests from the parking lot of Oak Bridge Community Church at 1989 Richardson Road to and from the block party at St. John’s Lutheran Church on a revolving basis.

The Rock Community Fire Protection District will be present, offering an opportunity to jump on board and sit behind the wheel of one of their fire trucks, with a chance to talk to firefighters. The fireworks display begins at 9 p.m., with a fabulous array of brilliantly contrasting color in the night sky, with plenty of oohs and aahs…
