Brookes Bible College to Host Grand Opening Weekend Event

The public is welcome to attend the community ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the campus on Fri., October 3.

ST. ANN, Mo. – Brookes Bible College, an evangelical higher academic institution serving the metro St. Louis region, will be hosting a 2-day grand opening celebration on Fri., October 3 and Sat., October 4 at the college’s brand-new location in St. Ann, Mo.

The college will host a community ribbon-cutting ceremony on Fri., October 3 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the new facility. Brookes Bible College will provide refreshments and tours for all who wish to see the new classrooms, library, chapel, and more.

On Sat., October 4, Brookes Bible College will continue their celebration with a more exclusive event in the chapel from 10 a.m. to noon. Ron Wenzel, Registrar and Dean of Students at Brookes Bible College, will be the Master of Ceremony for the program. Invited guests will be allowed to tour the campus, meet with the faculty, and enjoy refreshments.

Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with fellowship and will continue with an opening prayer at 10:15 a.m., led by Allan Henderson, Academic Dean of Brookes Bible College. Dr. Christopher Stocklin, President of Brookes Bible College, will then welcome guests and introduce them to the staff members, and Board Chair Fred Hampton will continue with the introduction of board members. Dan Johnson, assistant pastor of South County Bible Church since 2010, will lead the musical portion of the worship service.

Jerry Marshall, the pastor of New Community Church in Wildwood, will be the keynote speaker, presenting, “The Heart of the Problem.” A graduate of Moody Bible College and Trinity College, Marshall’s original goal was to become a professional musician until he found his calling to teach the Word of God. He is passionate about assisting others to understand and apply the Gospel and has worked in the ministry for over 3 decades.

“This two-day celebration is such a big step for us as a college,” said Dr. Christopher Stocklin, President of Brookes Bible College. “After 100 years of teaching a diverse student population, we are so very grateful to God for this great new location. We know have a state-of-the-art facility for teaching truth that is timeless. We hope many people will come and share our excitement for what God is doing!”

Brookes Bible College offers affordable, two-year associates degree programs in Biblical and Ministerial Studies, Christian Counseling, and Missions with American Urban or Foreign emphasis. These Bible-based studies serve as the foundation for equipping Brookes students to serve God in any area of life.
